I'm entering the Runway Inspired Challenge (RIC 77) with a card inspired by a dress from Jenny Packham. Here's the card:
Here's the dress:
Here are the details:
To create the diagonally striped background, I used a technique I learned in the most recent Online Card Class: Clean and Simple 4. I first masked off the bottom part with some thin washi tape. Using my grid mat, I lined up the tape in the pattern I wanted. I then carefully used a sponge dauber to create the lines. I varied the shades of grey and added some blue to create a similar look to the dress. I then heat embossed the sentiment in black. I chose to heat emboss to 1. add texture and 2. to create a bold, opaque look that stands out against the inked background.
I stamped the flowers, fussy cut them, added Wink of Stella to the centers and adhered them to the card with foam tape.
All the stamps used are from the In Every Way stamp set by Waffleflower Crafts. I love how elegant the fonts and images are.
Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
