Don't Worry, Bee Happy

This card just sings happy! The musical notes in the colors of the rainbow, the cute little bees with their sparkly contrails, not to mention the sentiment can't help but put you in a better mood.

The music notes and the sentiment come from the Music Notes stamp set and the cute little bees are from Bee Happy. I hope this card makes you bee happy!!

Have a Moxie Fab Birthday, Pam!

Today is Pam Lambert's birthday. She is one of my teamies on the A. Jillian Vance Design team. She is a very sweet person whose favorite color is purple!! You can check out Pam's work at her blog Pam's Purple Loft.

The birthday card I made serves two purposes. First and foremost, to wish Pam a wonderful day!! Secondarily, I am going to enter it into the Moxie Fab World Camera Craze Challenge. If you're interested in playing, challenge doesn't end until March 11. If you need a camera stamp, I know of a really cute one at A. Jillian Vance Design!! LOL!

The idea for this interactive card came from Trinh's Say Cheese card. I love how she hid the picture in the lens of the camera. I had to try my own version of it. In the process, I discovered a very happy accident. The circles in the Charming Circles sets fit perfectly inside the camera in the Foto Frames set. I love it when that happens! I guess you could say, things just "clicked." Ha ha ha.  I chose the happy birthday circle, but there are many other circles for different occasions. I chose purple as the color scheme because after all, it's for Pam's birthday and that is her favorite color!! To reveal the "secret" message, all you do is lift the tag at the top of the card!

Easy Valentines and Another Challenge

Hi guys!! I am sharing two projects today. The first project are some valentines that are so easy, a four-year-old can do it!! My little girl wanted me to make her valentines for her preschool party. I wanted her to be a part of it (other than signing her name) so I came up with these cute little valentines that are easy to assemble. I have more information on the A. Jillian Vance blog if you're interested in how I (and my daughter) made these.

Card number two is for the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge. When I looked at the sketch I envisioned a bullseye and an arrow. I created the heart-shaped bullseye with my Silhouette. The Love stamp is from A. Jillian Vance Design and the cool border stamp is from The Alley Way Stamps!

Ombre Love

Hello friends. Today I have a fun card using a technique called ombre, a trend in which colors graduate from light to dark tones or vice versa. I was able to achieve this effect rather inexpensively. "How?" you ask. I used paint chips from my local Home Depot!! Just as the colors graduate from darkest to lightest, the width of the paper graduates from widest to thinnest. I like the effect it produced.

I used one stamp from the Everyday Flags set by A. Jillian Vance Design. The stamp is the word Love, which I heat embossed onto the paint chip, then I adhered the U and embellished it with hearts, pearls and gems. It's a quick and easy card to make for your Valentine.

I'm also entering this into a couple challenges. One is the CAS challenge at Splitcoast Stampers to make a card using monochromatic colors. The other is the Casual Fridays challenge to use a die cut or sticker letter in your creation.
