I made a card for Independence Day. I made the card yesterday, which was Independence Day. I took a picture of it yesterday. Ya know - on Independence Day. Then, I went out and celebrated Independence Day. It was awesome. So much so, that by the time I got home from picnicking and fireworks watching, it was late.
So here I am on July 5 posting a card celebrating July 4, but since I made it and photographed it on July 4, I think it's okay to post it, right? LOL! I mean, it's not like there will never be another July 4 again.
Besides, this card serves another purpose. I'm entering it into the
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. The theme is Shake It - create a shaker/confetti packet in your project. I love shaker cards and as it happens, I had some left over confetti from another craft.
See the heart-shaped plastic holding the confetti? That is actually packaging I saved from some buttons I purchased. I saved the packaging thinking I might use it on a card one day. Looks like the day has come!
Unfortunately, I didn't have any SSS stamps that were appropriate for the patriotic theme. Instead, I used Paper Smooches stamps, which you can
purchase at Simon Says Stamp.
Hope you had a great July 4th yesterday and I hope you have a great week ahead of you!
