I made these two cards for the Moxie Fab World Trigger Target. I liked the colors and the design elements of target (see below).
Who knew some old Pyrex bowls could be so beautiful and inspiring? In the first card, I made the ribbon flower with my new Glubers. I made box pleats with the ribbon and then adhered it to the Gluber and hot glued a button in the center. I tried to make it like those wonderful medallion flowers from Maya Road. I have to order some of those soon!
The second card was inspired mostly by the design elements. Although I used red, white and orange, I also expanded my color palette to include some green and yellow. I think it makes for a nice, happy little card. Thanks for looking!

A Technique I Couldn't Resist
A couple weeks ago, Vicky at Lilypad Cards, posted a tutorial on how to do emboss resist. I love the effect and decided to give it a go. I dug up an old stamp set I haven't used in a while and gave the images new life by using this technique. Anyways, I really like how it turned out. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. I love the Lawn Fawn stamps.

Love this Color Palette
Another card for the Moxie Fab World blog. This time, I'm entering it into the Chevron Chic Challenge. The name of the challenge pretty much speaks for itself: Make a card using chevrons.
Moxie Fab World introduced me to the world of Pinterest. If you haven't heard of it, check it out. It's like a virtual bilboard. You can search for and post photos to your pinboard. You can follow other people's boards. You can "like" other people's photos, comment on them or re-pin them onto your board. It's like Facebook for photos!! It is a great place to seek inspiration.
In fact, I sought inspiration for this card from a photo I found on Pinterest. I love the color palette of this wreath (shown below).
I don't know who made the paper. I found a pack of it at Tuesday Mornings. I bought it cause it was cheap! The sentiment is from Cupcake Celebration (I already had it out for the cupcake card.) I made the flowers. For the big gray flower, I used my MS punch and scoring board. I used my Silhouette to make the yellow one on top and the bottom flower was made by misting the flower, crinkling it, heat setting it and then uncrinkling it.

Dessert First!
Wow, it's been almost three weeks since I posted anything. I'm still making cards, I just haven't posted any til now. It seems like this time of year is so busy with birthday parties, soccer games, graduation ceremonies, end of school stuff, planning summer activities ...
Speaking of birthday parties, I created this little number today for the Moxie Fab World Trigger Tuesday. The cupcake and sentiment are from Papertrey Ink's Cupcake Celebration set. The paper is from My Mind's Eye and Kay and Company. I used my Copics to color the cupcake. My son read the sentiment and said "Hey, can I eat dessert first?" Sorry, kiddo. This phrase is only for cards!! Ha ha.

It's What's Under the Hat
I made this quick and easy card with the Clear Dollar Stamps Stamp of the Month, which I got for free with my order. Free is good. :-)
Thank You Teachers and Bus Drivers
MY s-i-l and I made these for teacher/bus driver/staff appreciation week. They turned out pretty cute. I created and cut the leaves with my Silhouette machine - more than 150. It was a lot of work, but totally worth it.
Happy First Birthday Aidan!!
I am doubly excited about this card!! First, and foremost, it's going to my nephew for his first birthday. (Oh yeah, Dan and Barbie, if you're reading this, don't show the picture to Aidan!! I want him to be surprised before he gets to open it ... and then chew on it. Hee hee)
I am also submitting it to the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger challenge, Polka Dot Hullabaloo. Check it out. You still have a few days left to enter. The inspiration piece was a polka dotted rug, which is pictured below.
I am also posting a picture of my adorable nephew, because he was also the inspiration behind this card!! (Wait til you see this cutie!)
